Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate incoming communications for adverse event (AE) reporting
- Process and medically review safety cases
- Perform seriousness assessment and expedited reporting
- Submit reports to FDA and Health Canada within timelines
- Handle pharmacovigilance queries and follow-ups
- Process literature-based case reports
- Conduct adverse event trend analysis
- Prepare quarterly safety and annual summary reports
- Perform reconciliation activities with partner safety data
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance
- Manage safety databases (Argus or similar systems)
Required Qualifications
Education
- BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)
- MDS (Master of Dental Surgery)
- M.Pharm (Master of Pharmacy)
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years in Pharmacovigilance / Drug Safety
- Experience in post-marketing surveillance
- Exposure to global regulatory reporting
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of FDA & Health Canada regulations
- Expertise in MedDRA coding & medical terminology
- Experience with Argus Safety Database
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Ability to review scientific literature
